Toos and her husband, Gerrit van der Valk, run the largest hotel empire in the Netherlands. While Gerrit and the children desperately searched, police officer Cor Mulder moved into Hotel Nuland to work undercover as "cousin Cor" to track down the kidnappers and keep the family afloat.
