Based on Gao Ming's 2010 book "Genius on the Left, Lunatic on the Right," Letv's 2015 web series "Alpha Beta" delves into the complexities of mental illness. Just before their wedding, Gao Kai's fiancée Tian Xin suffers a car accident that leaves her mute. Her cousin, psychiatrist Li Shi Hui, is optimistic about Tian Xin's recovery.
